Neuberger Building Automation GmbH transforms intralogistics with advanced Kardex technology

Neuberger Building Automation GmbH is a leading company in building and room automation, as well as cleanroom and process technology, known for its innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and comfort in buildings.

Innovative Storage Solutions and Automation

The project includes the delivery of three Kardex Shuttle 500 units equipped with automatic SMD picking by robots. In front of the three machines, a seventh axis is installed, on which a robot moves back and forth, automatically loading and unloading products. This intelligent system enables efficient and precise handling of SMD reels, stored in a horizontal position. Particularly noteworthy is the unique combination of horizontal reel storage and robot-based storage system, for which a patent application has already been filed. One of the Kardex Shuttle 500 units is equipped with an innovative climate control system that ensures a controlled environment with humidity below 5%. In addition to the automated SMD picking solution, eight more Kardex Shuttle 500 units are installed in other storage areas at Neuberger. With the upcoming implementation of the Kardex robotic system for SMD handling and other technological advancements, the project addresses specific requirements at Neuberger in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The solution integrates Kardex software for warehouse management and picking systems (Power Pick Systems - PPS) as well as the Java Machine Interface System (JMIF), significantly increasing production efficiency.
