Multivac expands its portfolio with special chamber machines for packaging medical devices and pharmaceutical products in pouches

At interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf, Multivac presents two additional vacuum chamber machines from the TC series, the C 200TC and the C 300TC.
With these two entry-level models for validated and calibratable packaging in pouches, Multivac expands its portfolio of packaging solutions for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.

The two new machines are based on the same technology as the existing models C 400TC and C 500TC, but feature smaller format ranges and fewer configuration options. As a result, they offer an economically attractive alternative to the larger models. The chamber machines C 200TC and C 300TC were specifically developed for companies in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries that prioritize process safety, reproducibility, and cleanroom compatibility.

In chamber machines, the suffix "TC" stands for "thermo controlled." These machines have the seal bars permanently heated, providing a high level of process safety and reproducibility compared to chamber machines equipped with standard impulse sealing. The machines can seal pouches made from various materials.

The compact table-top machine C 200TC is designed as an entry-level model for small batches, small products, and limited installation space. The most important feature of the C 200TC is the temperature-controlled seal bar, which guarantees consistent sealing quality. It is also equipped with a manually operated lid featuring a viewing window through which the packaging process can be observed. For the vacuum supply of the chamber machine, both an integrated pump and an external connection can be used. Important parameters such as sealing pressure and temperature are easily and quickly adjustable via the control panel and additionally visualized. The C 200TC can also be used for the production of MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) packs.

The C 300TC is a machine equipped with rollers, allowing flexible placement at different locations. With the use of an IPC control system, processes can be fully monitored and controlled. Beneath the chamber, there is a convenient compartment where pouches, products, or additional equipment such as a label printer can be stored. A vacuum pump can be either integrated or externally connected. External calibration connections are easily accessible on the back of the machine.
