Multifunctional and versatile in application - Neuberger presents cleanroom signal lights
The Middle Franconian subsidiary of Max Weishaupt GmbH expands its product portfolio in cleanroom technology: In addition to the proven and widely used cleanroom terminals, Neuberger now offers its customers multifunctional cleanroom signal lights. With the self-developed panels, conditions of sensitive rooms can be displayed quickly and clearly.
In healthcare, research and development facilities, as well as in the pharmaceutical and laboratory sectors, the condition of a room can be of fundamental importance. If this is incorrect or if actions are taken based on missing information, it can mean the loss of entire production batches. To prevent this, Neuberger now offers users and operators cleanroom signal lights of the RL400x series. The panels allow for clear signaling of room conditions as well as displaying plain text messages.
Multifunctional and versatile in application
A striking signaling in red, yellow, green, and blue in continuous light and/or flashing mode are just some of the functions of the new cleanroom lights. Conditions in the room, such as temperature, pressure, humidity, or particle counts, can also be quickly and easily output as plain text messages. Both the color coding of the individual lights and the content of the displayed status messages can be freely configured according to customer needs. Depending on the application, the lights can be mounted and operated either inside or outside the respective room. Versatile application possibilities and areas are thus provided.
The lights are assembled behind 4 mm thick ESG safety glass (according to EN12150), which is characterized by its increased impact and shock resistance. When recessed into the ceiling with screwless glass carrier plates, for example in cleanroom walls, this results in a completely flat and highly hygienic, easy-to-clean surface.
“The functions are diverse, ranging from simple color symbolism to the output of plain text messages,” explains Klaus Langer, Sales Management at Neuberger. “The terminals can be equipped with a variable number of signal lights. They can be flexibly manufactured at Neuberger depending on our customers' needs. And, as with our automation systems: We offer a lifetime and unlimited spare parts warranty on all our in-house products. This is currently unique in the market,” Langer continues.
With the models RL4004 and RL4002, two variants of Neuberger’s cleanroom signal lights are initially available as standard. The RL4004, measuring 132 mm x 348 mm x 37 mm (width x height x depth), is equipped with four lights, whose functions can be programmed and configured independently. The RL4002 (132 mm x 193 mm x 37 mm) is equipped with two lights. Connection to an automation system can be easily made: Currently, a physical communication interface in the form of an RS485 interface is used, with the Modbus RTU protocol. An Ethernet/IP connection is in preparation and currently in the testing phase.
The Neuberger cleanroom signal lights RL400x at a glance:
– Clear and quick signaling of room conditions
– Color signaling in red, yellow, green, and blue
– Continuous light and/or flashing mode
– Information output of plain text messages such as temperature, humidity, pressure, particles, etc.
– Plain text messages and color coding of the lights are freely programmable and configurable
– Panel size flexible in the number of lights
– Carrier plate made of ESG safety glass (EN 12150)
– Easy to clean and hygienic due to flush-mounted installation
– No contamination risk from dirt and dust deposits
– Alternative to elaborate ceiling installations such as light columns, flashing lights, traffic lights, etc.
– Physical interface: RS485
– Protocol: Modbus RTU
“After the market launch of the cleanroom terminals in 2016 generated great demand, especially from our customers in the pharmaceutical and food industries, we also expect a similarly high demand for the cleanroom signal lights,” concludes Langer.
Everything from a single source
In addition to the new cleanroom signal lights, the Rothenburg-based company offers its customers GMP-compliant monitoring systems, sensor technology, cleanroom terminals, shuttle controls, and access control systems. Services such as mapping, calibration, validation, and qualification round out the product portfolio of the automation specialist in the field of cleanroom technology.
Cleanroom lights in focus at the LOUNGES 2022 trade fair
For the first time, Neuberger will present the cleanroom signal lights live and in action at the LOUNGES 2022 trade fair in Karlsruhe. Under the motto “Cleanroom and building technology from a single source!” Neuberger will showcase innovative solutions for cleanroom technology from May 17 to 19, 2022, at booth B2.5. Additionally, Neuberger will participate with a technical lecture in this year's program. Dipl.-Ing. Jürgen Metzger (Sales Management) will speak on the topic of monitoring, room pressure regulation, and shuttle control from a single source.
