MTF Technology celebrates its 50th anniversary

On February 1, 1975, engineer Hans Gert Schürfeld founded the company in Bergneustadt under the name MTF - Metal Processing, Transport Equipment, Conveyor Belts.

The innovator planned to develop entirely new conveyor belts for the plastics industry that had not been available on the market before. Always driven by curiosity, initiative, diligence, the pursuit of perfection, and with an open ear to the requirements and wishes of our customers, he tirelessly developed new products and solutions - from small conveyor belts for transporting parts from injection molding machines, to the development of infinitely adjustable angled conveyor belts, the first patent for the roller-separation drum, to countless customer-specific projects.

In this spirit, his son, mechanical and industrial engineer Hardy Schürfeld, has been further developing the company since 2005 as owner and managing director. The two engineers have acquired a total of 13 patents and have always adapted to new challenges and industries. Even today, each device is individually tailored to the needs of each customer - ensuring an optimal result for operational material flow.
