Event Filter - more than just an audit trail

In a monitoring system, a large number of events are generated over time and stored in the audit trail. When the user searches for a specific event, detailed filter settings are necessary to find the desired information as quickly and efficiently as possible.

In a good GMP cleanroom monitoring software, the functions audit trail and alarm log are an integral part of the software package. Some of these are also combined.

Alarm Log

In the alarm log, all alarms (limit value deviations of a measuring point) are recorded and documented. Through the user interface, these can be acknowledged, commented on, displayed clearly, and filtered.

Audit Trail

The audit trail, on the other hand, provides an overview of all changes to the system. All interventions in the system (events), such as limit value changes, are timestamped and include the user, comments, as well as the previous and new values.

The goal of the audit trail is to trace WHO, WHEN, and WHAT was done.

In addition to all limit value deviations ("alarms") from the alarm log and all GMP-relevant events ("events") from the audit trail, further events are generated. For example, system events such as user login, adjustments of system settings, backup, or system restart.

Using the event filter, it is now possible to filter by documented events in the various views. For example, additional information about backups, connection interruptions, or data recoveries from wireless sensors can be viewed.

Additionally, the displayed data can be exported. This allows for the creation and visualization of advanced analyses.
