The cleanroom pads of the Asmetec private label METOCLEAN are lint-free paper- or film-based pads with long-lasting adhesive properties. Such pads are used in the printed circuit board industry, the printing industry, the electronics industry, or in other industries for surface cleaning. They are often used in combination with the METOCLEAN hand rollers, which are also sold by Asmetec.

The application is very easy to handle. To do this, remove the protective paper from the pad to expose the adhesive surface. The hand roller is rolled over the surface of the object to be cleaned, and its adhesive coating picks up particles such as flakes, hairs, or dust. These particles are then rolled off onto the adhesive pad and transferred. After the paper is used up, it can be torn off at the perforated line to expose a new sheet. The process is then repeated. The particles to be removed can be as small as 0.5 µm.

The standard pads have an adhesive strength of approximately 800 N/sqft and are already very self-adhesive. Upon customer request, stronger adhesive coatings can also be applied to the pads, such as with the METOCLEAN DTS pads DCR-A4-1100, which have an adhesive strength of about 1100 N/sqft.

The film-based pads have a slightly lower adhesive strength of around 600 N/sqft but do not risk paper shedding and are therefore essential for higher cleanroom classes.

In addition to these disposable pads, there is also the DTS pad DCP-3030BT, which is antistatic and reusable. Cleaning this pad is very simple. It is just wiped with lukewarm soapy water or Asmetec's IPA wipes to remove the particles collected.

As you can see, the range of pads and accessories is very diverse and can also be expanded with other formats and adhesive properties if customers have special requirements.
