Once the positioning of the hardware for automated optical inspection of workpieces and processes becomes demanding, the principle of conventional device holders becomes more expensive and carries risks: a custom-made, fully machined special design becomes costly and cannot be accurately realigned afterwards, let alone completely redesigned. Flexible solutions from other areas generally do not meet the requirements for long-term stability under operating conditions.
The dk program "Joints" includes five separate programs for 3D flexible clamping joints to meet all requirements in the positioning of machine vision components:

• – StrongLine – for simple applications such as positioning the lighting
• – VarioLine – higher stability for demanding holding tasks
• – TurnStopLine – holds as if welded after manually locking the central joint without tools
• – Chrom Line – large dimensioning and radius up to 800 mm when the camera needs to be placed far from a mounting point
• – HygienicLine – part or full stainless steel program for clean zones and cleanroom areas as well as for harsh, aggressive environmental conditions
