Maximum flexibility: The new chamber band machine B 210

At interpack 2014 in Düsseldorf, Multivac will present its new chamber band machine B 210 for the first time. The primary goal in developing the machine is its flexible usability, which is why the B 210 will be available in various versions and configurations. This makes the chamber band machine adaptable to the individual needs of each customer and suitable for packaging a wide range of products.

"With the new chamber band machine B 210, we want to offer our customers an affordable entry into automated bag packaging," says Andreas Hackl, Product Manager for Chamber Machines at Multivac. The machine is equipped with an electric lid lift and an automatic conveyor belt inside the chamber for product feeding. This provides the customer with a compact and cost-effective solution for automatic bag packaging that requires only minimal installation space. By positioning the sealing bars in an L-shape (front and on the right and left sides), the B 210 guarantees high product throughput. Since the B 210 can also be fitted with a feed belt, it can be used like a standard chamber band machine.

With the new B 210, Multivac offers its customers an interesting packaging solution positioned in the Multivac product portfolio between semi-automatic double-chamber machines and fully automatic chamber band machines.

Thanks to its modular design, the B 210 can be customized to meet various customer needs. It is available with two chamber sizes (B 1150 x T 500 mm or B 800 x T 670 mm), two lid heights, and different sealing bar arrangements.

The height of the conveyor belt inside the chamber can be adjusted at the push of a button. This ensures that products of different sizes are packed wrinkle-free and visually appealing. This simple adjustment also guarantees the highest packaging quality even with frequently changing products. To increase cycle performance, the opening width of the lid can also be adapted to the respective product heights.

Due to its high flexibility, the B 210 is almost unlimited in the range of products it can package. In addition to different product sizes, various types of products can be packaged. The application spectrum ranges from food items such as fresh meat, sausages, cheese, or fish to technical products like precision parts or ball bearings.

The B 210 is equipped with the MC10 control system, which features over 30 recipe memories and ensures intuitive operation. The lid lift is electric and, unlike the pneumatically driven chamber lids common on the market, does not consume compressed air.

For the production of shrink packs, the B 210 can be expanded into a shrink packaging line with a shrink tunnel (SE 115) and a dryer (TE 115).

Its high-quality and durable stainless steel construction, combined with the innovative Multivac Hygiene DesignTM, ensures optimal cleanability. This also positively impacts the safety of the packaging and, consequently, consumer protection. The B 210 is equipped with hygiene-optimized stand feet and a hygiene-optimized control cabinet, among other features.
