Cleanroom-compatible and quiet energy chains

The flat ribbon cable e-skin flat, made from high-performance plastics, shows no visible wear and is abrasion-resistant. Unlike traditional flat ribbon cable systems, these profiles are not welded with the conductors. They can be opened with a zipper, allowing the user to insert the cables with just a few simple steps or, in the closed variant also available, pass them through the chamber openings. Manufacturers of machines and systems for semiconductor production also have other options in the extensive igus portfolio of energy supply solutions, such as the E6.1, C6, or e-skin corrugated hoses series.

A complete product range – including bearing technology

The igus program for semiconductor manufacturing and other cleanroom applications includes not only the described energy guides but also components and systems for drive technology. The focus is on, among others, drylin linear bearings, which offer significant advantages — including maintenance-free operation, high smoothness, and excellent abrasion resistance. The PRT series of rotary joint bearings are also available in cleanroom-compatible versions. They are often used in feed lines and transport belts for semiconductor, display, and electronics manufacturing.
