Matthias Schnabel is the new Chairman of the Board of the Cleaning Excellence Center (CEC Leonberg)

The Cleaning Excellence Center (CEC) is the competence and user network for Technical Cleanliness with its headquarters in Leonberg near Stuttgart.

During the regular general meeting of the CEC on November 25, 2020, the board was re-elected:

- Dipl.-Kfm. Matthias Schnabel (DOK GmbH, Oberstenfeld) Chairman
- Dipl.-Ing. Ralf Nerling (Nerling Systemräume GmbH, Renningen) Deputy Chairman
- Prof. Dr. Juliane König-Birk (Hochschule Heilbronn)
- Dipl.-Verw. Wiss. Benjamin Schweizer (City of Leonberg)
- Dipl.-Kfm. Robert Scheurle (SITA Messtechnik GmbH, Dresden)

The CEC, founded in 2011 in Leonberg, currently has around 40 members consisting of renowned technology companies as well as medium-sized companies from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, covering all areas of the process chain of Technical Cleanliness. Among them are plant builders, manufacturers of analysis equipment and process chemicals, measurement technology manufacturers, and packaging specialists, as well as users of industrial cleaning products and processes.

The goal of the CEC is to provide companies from various sectors of the process chain of Technical Cleanliness with a platform for practical tasks. CEC members benefit from user-oriented experience exchange and gain informative insights into the implementation of innovative technologies, logical processes, and practical solutions. The holistic view of Technical Cleanliness, combined with surrounding manufacturing processes, forms the basis for pragmatic solutions.

The CEC regularly conducts practice-oriented and interdisciplinary events on Technical Cleanliness and offers a platform for practical working groups to participate across industries. This includes the TecSa-TALK discussion platform in an online format, where rotating industry interview partners share their experiences and perspectives on current topics related to Technical Cleanliness.

Additionally, the CEC organizes joint trade fair appearances and offers exchange and networking opportunities, as well as the dissemination of contacts, information, knowledge, and experiences. It also assists in the placement of project partners, specialist, and project work.

Within the framework of the cross-process development of the process chain of Technical Cleanliness, the CEC enables the initiation of cooperations and funding projects or practical comparison tests.

As part of the Stuttgart Region's initiative for competence centers, the CEC is supported by the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation (WRS).
