Marathon of Future Technologies: SMC presents comprehensive product portfolio at four trade fairs in November

In no other trade fair month are the experts from SMC Germany in such high demand as in November 2023: At a total of four trade fairs, the leading specialist for pneumatic and electrical automation technology presents forward-looking innovations, among other things, for the fields of medical technology, electronics and semiconductor industry, machinery and plant engineering, as well as smart and digital automation.

Smart Production Solutions: Kick-off into a new era of industrial automation

Following the trade fair slogan "Bringing Automation to Life," SMC will showcase an innovative product range for forward-looking automation of wireless, IO-Link, and Easy-Setting solutions, from mobile networking to predictive maintenance. The focus here is on the individual optimization of production processes for more flexibility, efficiency, and profitability. Other trend topics include machine safety with customized safety solutions and CE-compliant safety components, as well as robotics, for which SMC experts offer optimization solutions for applications such as welding, painting, and handling, as well as a portfolio of end effectors for collaborative robots (cobots). Top product highlights include the latest intelligent IO-Link solutions, the valve island series SY3000/5000/7000, the wireless fieldbus system series EXW1/EX600-W, or the Air Management System for reducing compressed air consumption. Michael Ehinger, Team Leader Energy Efficiency at SMC, will speak about specific application examples for increasing efficiency in his presentation "Energy-efficient plant optimization – saving CO₂ in the machine with efficient solutions" on November 15, 2023, at 12:20 PM in the forum of Hall 5.

High-tech solutions for medical technology at COMPAMED

At the world's leading trade fair for medical technology, SMC will showcase solutions and components that meet the highest requirements in terms of cleanliness and safety. Thanks to many years of life sciences expertise, SMC experts are familiar with nearly all challenges of the industry and offer the development of customized solutions for each customer application. The comprehensive product portfolio includes technologies for pneumatic and robot-assisted automation, microfluidics, temperature control, high-purity liquids, pure gases, and more. On site, the new – suitable for steam, water, and compressed air – angular seat valve series JSB, as well as the latest cooling and temperature control devices, will be presented. COMPAMED will take place from November 13 to 16, 2023, in Düsseldorf.

Concentrated know-how in electronics manufacturing: SEMICON meets productronica

Following the increasing demand for solutions in the (micro-)electronics industry, SMC will participate in SEMICON Europe in Munich for the first time this year. This event takes place together with productronica and thus offers the largest European electronics platform, bringing together industry leaders from the entire design and manufacturing chain. SMC will inform trade fair visitors about a comprehensive product range for high-vacuum, high-purity gas applications, transfer, positioning, motion control, and circuit board assembly, as well as solutions for controlling cooling and temperature processes. Among the products presented are ionizers in various designs and the Air Management System.

Meeting of actors from mechanical engineering, automation, and plant engineering at FMB

Constructive. Personal. Compact. The FMB in Bad Salzuflen from November 8 to 10, 2023, covers the entire spectrum of the supply industry for machinery and plant engineering, related industrial services, and special machine construction. SMC will present the latest products and solutions for production and assembly automation, including recent developments in the field of electric drives: for example, the new E-drive series EQFS/Y_H, where controller and electric drive are integrated into one unit, as well as the electric cylinder series LEY#G with a battery-free absolute encoder. On November 9, Michael Ehinger, Team Leader Energy Efficiency at SMC, will give a lecture on "Energy-efficient plant optimization – saving CO₂ in the machine with efficient solutions" at 10:00 AM in the forum of Hall 20.
