Manufacturing of a state-of-the-art personnel lock at Greenerity GmbH in Alzenau

Objectives

The goal of the project was to develop a personnel turnstile for approximately 70 employees that not only meets the highest hygiene standards but also increases employee comfort and efficiency. The turnstile should provide practical solutions for storing and providing work clothing and protective equipment and be made of durable, easy-care materials.
Project Description

The personnel turnstile was equipped with the following components:
– Sit-Over Benches with integrated shoe compartment: As a separation from the contaminated to the clean side, with the possibility of changing shoes.
– Coveralls compartments and retrieval compartments: These ensure order and quick access to necessary clothing and consumables.
– Foldable Sit-Over Bench: This offers flexibility and can be folded up when needed.
– Modern washbasins: These ensure thorough hand cleaning and promote hygiene at the workplace.
– Cupboard for beverage bottles: These provide ample space for storing drinks.
– Disposal stations for gloves and masks: These offer a hygienic option for dispensing protective equipment.
– Lockable cabinets for visitors: These allow visitors to securely store their valuables and provide additional protection and security.
– Full-length mirror: This allows employees to check their entire clothing to ensure they are dressed correctly and hygienically.
– Disinfection dispenser: Strategically placed dispensers ensure that employees have easy access to hand disinfectant at all times, further improving hygiene.

For the furniture, HPL solid core material was used, known for its robustness and durability, capable of withstanding intensive daily use without issue.

Challenges

During the implementation of the project, we faced the following challenges:
1. Space planning: Optimally utilizing the available space to ensure both functionality and freedom of movement.
2. Material selection: Choosing materials that are both robust and easy to maintain to meet high hygienic standards.
3. Integration: Seamless integration of the various components to ensure smooth operation of the personnel turnstile.

Results

After the completion and commissioning of the personnel turnstile, significant improvements were observed:
– Enhanced hygiene: The modern washbasins and protective equipment dispensing stations significantly improved workplace hygiene.
– Improved comfort: Ergonomic seating and thoughtful space layout increased employee comfort.
– More efficient workflows: The practical arrangement of coveralls compartments and retrieval stations allows for quicker and more efficient access to necessary materials and clothing.
– Positive employee feedback: Employees responded positively to the new facilities, reporting increased satisfaction and motivation.

Conclusion

The project to manufacture the personnel turnstile at Greenerity was a complete success. By combining high-quality materials with thoughtful design, the company was able to not only raise hygiene standards but also improve employee comfort and efficiency. This project serves as a model for future workplace optimization initiatives and demonstrates how innovative solutions can contribute to increased employee satisfaction.
