Managing Director Ulrich Eberhardt retires

After 40 years of professional career at the motan Group, Ulrich Eberhardt is retiring on March 31, 2019. Eberhardt began his professional career at motan on April 2, 1979. Today, he can look back not only on a varied activity with steadily increasing responsibility but also with pride on a company that has grown significantly under his leadership.

He spent his first three years working as an assistant in the commercial department and, in 1986, at just 32 years old, became Managing Director of motan GmbH for Production and Finance. These were exciting and diverse years during which the motan Group became a global player. With the restructuring and founding of motan holding in Constance, Eberhardt decided in 1990 to take on responsibility for sales in Europe. During this time, he not only expanded his knowledge of motan products but also built a broad network in the plastics industry as a salesperson and as an advisory board member of the Fakuma trade fair.

Together with his colleagues in Asia and the USA, they increased the sales of the motan Group to around 70 million euros by the turn of the century, and as Group Managing Director, he once again laid the foundation for further growth. In 2006, with the acquisition of Colortronic, he was able to further expand the group. Since then, Eberhardt has focused again on production and establishing a group-wide controlling system. Ulrich Eberhardt will remain with the company as a shareholder of motan holding GmbH.
