The entire industry has had to wait a long time: From February 8 to 10, 2022, the lounges will open their doors again. The waiting time will be shortened with online events, together with over 200 companies, and live meetings in Hamburg and Dresden.

It is not yet entirely clear what rules will apply at the beginning of February, whether 2G or 3G, but everyone is determined and optimistic that the industry will be able to meet in person at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center for the lounges from February 8 to 10, 2022.

During the Corona crisis, employees in sales, purchasing, or management levels of many companies realized that nothing can replace live encounters in the form of conversations over a good coffee, at trade fair booths, and in lecture rooms. Therefore, as a restart into the trade fair season, a hybrid experience of online events and live meetings was quickly organized to prepare for the lounges.

Online event on Digital365

Before the industry meets on site, over 200 companies will present their products and services online from November 15 to 19, 2021, on the Digital365 platform.

In five days, visitors, who can register for free on the platform, can expect an extensive program of lectures and talk rounds. Additionally, the digital platform offers communication opportunities to exchange ideas and make contacts ahead of the lounges, so that they can meet or reconnect in person by February 2022 at the latest.

Lounge meetings in Hamburg and Dresden

After the online event, the first in-person meetings will take place on November 23 in Hamburg and November 30 in Dresden. The focus of the lounge meetings is personal exchange "face-to-face." Companies and visitors discuss current industry topics in a cozy atmosphere.

Finally, trade fairs again: Lounges in February 2022

From February 8 to 10, the "big" lounges will open their doors again at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center. Over 200 companies, numerous expert lectures, and some interactive surprises await visitors—all in the unique lounge atmosphere, with delicious food, hot and cold drinks, and resulting good and relaxed conversations.

At the lounges, visitors can also get a glimpse of the future of trade fairs. The completely newly designed and created area "Pharma Equipment Construction" shows how the trade fair will be structured in the future and what opportunities it offers to exhibitors and visitors.

Although the lounges will again take place in a personal setting, there will also be numerous online live streams for those staying at home. In the modern Inspire Studio, which will be live at the lounges, moderators will present talk rounds, exciting interviews, and live product launches for viewers on-site, on the go, or at home.

Added value, service, and ideas for visitors and exhibitors

During the 2022 lounges, the team behind the event will present their specialties and services for the first time.

ARNO Design, which has been an important partner for the lounges for many years, will show what the trade fair experiences of the future will look like. The Heidelberg media companies Bildbrauerei and SHOUT Media will inform visitors and companies about the audiovisual, interactive, and communicative possibilities for preparing and delivering content online. HauckIT is the engine room of Digital365 and will demonstrate what the online platform can do and what makes it special. Also participating are our graphic studio with Theo and Stefan Ronellenfitsch.

Looking ahead to the lounges in October 2022 in Vienna

It was already clear during the last lounges in Vienna that there would be a follow-up event. On October 19 and 20, 2022, the venue will once again be Marx Halle, this time in a new and multifunctional design. Registration for exhibitors begins on November 1, 2021. As always, early bookers will receive very attractive discounts.
