LogiMAT 2014: Innovation with System

From February 25th to 27th, 2014, item Industrial Technology GmbH will present new product developments at LogiMAT in Stuttgart. The largest annual intralogistics trade fair in Europe provides the platform for item's extensive modular system as well as innovations in the area of workplace and lean production systems. A special highlight this time will be the work table 4 E FIFO.

The LP System Construction Kit

The LP system construction kit is characterized by easy processing, simple yet versatile connection technology, and a high degree of flexibility. This offers item a system for the construction of operating resources suitable for demanding production environments.

In addition to new connecting elements that increase design freedom for constructions, the possibilities for efficient material flow in the manufacturing area have been expanded through recent product innovations.

A highlight is the new roller conveyor 6 40x40. It is delivered ready for installation and is ideal for durable transport routes. Its torsion-resistant aluminum profile shows hardly any deflection even over long distances. Side guide rails made of aluminum securely hold workpieces and boxes on the conveyor and give the roller conveyor up to 50% more stiffness. Another special feature: individual rollers can finally be replaced without removing others!

item Workplace System: quick access to everything

As another focus, item will present its program for ergonomic workplace systems in manual production at LogiMAT. Since 2010, the company has offered this program with seven pre-configured workbench variants, enabling the design of manual workplaces of all kinds.

To make work quick and efficient, this ergonomic workplace can be equipped with roller conveyors on multiple levels. In addition to components for material provisioning from the workplace program, elements from the lean production system construction kit can be combined. With electric height adjustability, item emphasizes the importance of ergonomics in the workplace.
