As a pioneer of the age of light, LIMO has been driving technological progress in laser beam shaping and micro-optics for over a quarter of a century and acts as an international innovation driver. New: With the consolidation of the previously associated companies within the German LIMO Group into a single enterprise and the robust further development of the company, LIMO GmbH has positioned itself optimally for business in global markets as of 2018 under a new logo, to realize forward-looking technologies for customers worldwide with beam shaping concepts and solutions.

Innovation Drive: In September 2017, the company consolidation from LIMO Lissotschenko Mikrooptik GmbH to LIMO GmbH took place – as early as 2016, founder Dr. Vitalij Lissotschenko had stepped down from his roles as managing director and shareholder of the LIMO Group. Since February 2017, the management team has consisted of Dr. Guido Bonati as CEO and Dr. Chung-En Zah. Right at the beginning of 2018, LIMO is also modernizing its appearance, reflecting the changes within the company in the spirit of continuity and innovation: The new logo is based on the evolution of the old one and now features an avant-garde font and laser light line in a modern, dynamic design. The addition "A Focuslight Company" emphasizes the company's synergies with Chinese Focuslight Technologies Inc., which has offered LIMO new economic opportunities as a partner since spring 2017. Internationally known for high-quality and forward-looking optical components, beam shaping solutions, and laser and optical systems, the strong name LIMO now also stands for itself in the new logo. 2018 – strengthened by innovations in structure, strategy, business, and appearance – LIMO is deliberately and purposefully embarking on new perspectives.

By the way, the LIMO slogan "Beam Shaping Excellence" remains, because that is exactly what continues to distinguish LIMO: The focus is on highly precise micro-optics for all types of diode lasers and innovative beam shaping solutions, through which the economic and forward-looking potential of laser light can be optimally exploited. This includes laser and optical systems such as, for example, laser systems with scalable line beam profiles or industrial laser systems for plastic welding, for instance in the automotive industry or medical technology – technologies that enable companies to gain decisive competitive advantages. Because for technically advantageous, cost-efficient manufacturing processes, the laser source alone is not enough: its function is critically determined by the optics. The use of laser sources for processing methods is already standard in nearly all industries.
