LIMO brings the "Prism Award 2018" the optical Oscar to Dortmund

LIMO has been playing internationally in the top league of laser optics for over 25 years – now the company's success story is crowned by the world's most important photonics award. LIMO received the renowned Prism Award 2018 in the USA, beating competitors from China and the USA. The award, known as the "Optics Oscar," was ceremoniously presented to LIMO on January 31, 2018, in San Francisco on the occasion of the "SPIE Photonics West" trade fair.

The American Prism Award for Photonics Innovation is the most significant international accolade in the competition for the best innovations in the field of optics and photonics. Since 2008, it has honored companies that bring particularly innovative and technologically groundbreaking products to market and, according to the award statutes, set standards, solve problems, and improve lives through photonics. That is why the Prism Award is considered the "Oscar" of the photonics industry. LIMO won the Prism Award 2018 in the USA in the category "Material Processing & Additive Manufacturing" with the product "Activation Line UV-L750," which is used in the manufacturing of flexible mobile phone displays. With this, the "Optics Oscar" is awarded for the first time in the 10-year history of the award to Dortmund.
