Membrane keyboards are the most commonly used input devices in device and equipment manufacturing. The NLF-Backlight (Night-Light-Foil) technology uses side LEDs to illuminate both individual keys and large areas for user guidance in dark environments. The latest lighting technology, DLF (Day-Light-Foil), offers even higher light output for signaling and optical effects in daylight. These technologies are characterized by low mechanical height and long lifespan.

The premium keyboard: the backlit Profiline

For particularly demanding applications, Kundisch has developed its backlit Profiline keyboard, which can be used in many areas—from automotive technology and payment systems to medical technology. The technology used here for key inlays with dual functions, where the bump for the key also functions as a light guide, is extremely space-saving. A special RGB LED allows a key to glow in different colors—besides red, green, or blue, also with various mixed colors. This enables the display of different states within a single key.
