Leybold launches a small high-vacuum system for research & development, laboratories, and industry
Entry-level model completes the proven TURBOLAB series
With the TURBOLAB Core, the vacuum specialist Leybold introduces a small plug-and-play high-vacuum pump system for research and laboratory applications as well as industry. Within the TURBOLAB series, the compact benchtop device fills the gap for vacuum needs in the lower entry-level range, which require clean, dry, stable high and ultra-high vacuum. The TURBOLAB series is now available in a total of five variants with the TURBOVAC 90 i and 250 i as well as the DIVAC 1.4, covering the entire spectrum of applications for R&D and analytical fields.
Modular platform, easy service
The ergonomic and cost-effective system consists of proven Leybold components: including the oil-free and maintenance-free TURBOVAC i turbomolecular pump, the dry membrane forepump DIVAC 1.4, and simple controls. This offers users the advantage of easy maintainability.
Foundation prevents vibrations
The equipment of the robust, quiet high-vacuum system is tailored to the specific environmental conditions of laboratories and research facilities: Not least because of this, the compact pump stand is mounted on rubber feet. "With this foundation, we prevent the transmission of vibrations, for example when the TURBOLAB Core is placed right next to a microscope," explains the responsible Leybold product manager, Petr Lastovicka.
User-friendly interface
Both operation and control of the TURBOLAB Core are intuitive and user-friendly – the control also functions as a speed and pressure display. Optionally, the TURBOVAC i and the forepump DIVAC can be operated with delay or pressure-dependent.
