Labor water baths – new ways for optimized use

Water baths used in laboratories provide an opportunity for incubating samples that cannot be easily heated over an open flame. Especially when precise automatic temperature control is required and a very uniform heating of the objects is necessary.

Water baths have proven suitable for biological and chemical laboratories due to the high heat capacity of the medium and are specifically used for sample preparation. Digital controls can maintain the required temperatures constantly. Additional circulation functions through stirring or shaking mechanisms complement the equipment to achieve a uniform heat distribution. Covers or lid shields also prevent heat from escaping and protect against external contamination.

Although water is mostly used to gently warm samples, it is also possible to use oils or heat beads if needed.
