The task of component cleaning is to reliably and economically meet the cleanliness requirements resulting from subsequent processes. The basic seminar "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning" on June 20 and November 15/16, 2018, in Frankenthal offers further training and qualification measures that impart the necessary knowledge in theory and practice.

As a cross-sectional topic, component cleaning is highly relevant across all manufacturing sectors. This is because the cleanliness of components required for subsequent process steps such as coating, bonding, welding, heat treatment, and assembly must be achieved at a consistent quality level and cost-effectively. However, technical cleaning knowledge has so far been rarely conveyed in training or studies, leading to gaps in this manufacturing area. This often results in extensive rework, increased scrap, and high costs.

To close these gaps, FiT has developed the basic seminar "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning." The seminar conducted by fairXperts consists of two events that can be booked independently. Participants will gain the necessary knowledge and qualifications in theory and practice to design, optimize, control, and monitor cleaning processes tailored to component material, geometry, contamination, and cleanliness requirements.

Process Design – Solving Cleaning Tasks Optimally

The "Process Design" seminar on June 20, 2018, in Frankenthal focuses on fundamental knowledge of the chemistry of the cleaning process, selection of cleaning technology, monitoring cleaning media, and cleanliness control. Additionally, experienced application engineers will work with participants in three parallel workshops to develop systematic approaches and practical, proven solutions for these sub-tasks.

Process Optimization – Stable Processes through Efficient Quality Control

The second event of the basic seminar on November 15/16, 2018, in Frankenthal, is dedicated to process optimization through lectures and practical exercises. On the first day, lectures will cover topics such as "Quality Assurance in Component Cleaning," "Chemistry of the Cleaning Process," "Monitoring of Cleaner Concentration," and "Control of Component Cleanliness." Following this theoretical part on fundamentals for efficient quality control, four parallel practical sessions will demonstrate proven measuring devices and procedures for tasks such as "Checking component cleanliness for filmic and particulate contamination," "Tenside control," and "Builder control." Participants will have the opportunity to perform measurements themselves. The focus of the second day is on the mechanisms of cleaning processes, as well as solutions and guidelines for their practical and efficient use. Key topics include "Ultrasound," "Chemistry – Emulsifying and Demulsifying," and "Designing Cleaning Technology."

The further training and qualification measure for ensuring process quality in component cleaning is aimed at specialists and managers from development, design, technology, production planning, manufacturing, and quality assurance in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, precision mechanics, optics, medical technology, as well as surface and coating technology. To ensure a high learning success, the number of participants is limited to 40 persons each.
