At the heart of the equally attractive and informative FiT program at parts2clean are knowledge transfer, information, and innovation for stable, sustainable, and cost-efficient cleaning processes.

Industrial component cleaning is a cross-sectional topic that no manufacturing company can avoid. It influences product quality and costs. For sustainable and efficient fulfillment of defined requirements for technical cleanliness, the Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning e. V. (FiT) offers extensive support at this year's parts2clean (Hall 10, Stand B02). The equally attractive and informative program of the Industrial Component Cleaning Navigator includes presentations and exciting lectures on new trends and developments as well as current challenges. A highlight is the awarding of the second FiT2clean Award, endowed with 10,000 euros, on September 28, 2023.

Without adequate component cleanliness, the quality of subsequent processes and the finished product cannot be reliably ensured. However, the tasks in component cleaning and the requirements for technical cleanliness have changed in recent years due to new and modified products as well as altered manufacturing and joining technologies. Likewise, the demands on energy, resource, and cost efficiency have increased significantly. As the competence network and navigator for industrial component cleaning, the Professional Association for Industrial Part Cleaning (FiT) e. V. has aligned its information offerings for this year's parts2clean from September 26 to 28 in Stuttgart with these changes.

FiT Members Present

The equally attractive and informative program at the FiT action area is designed to ensure stable, sustainable, and cost-efficient cleaning processes. On the first day of the trade fair, FiT members will provide expertise and inform about solution approaches. Visitors will, for example, be introduced to the mysterious world of ultrasonic cleaning and cavitation and can be assured that the functioning of the "Magic Box Ultrasonic Device" has become transparent to them.

Using practical examples from medical and pharmaceutical technology, it will be demonstrated why CO2 snow blasting can be an alternative in these industries. The presentation will also showcase achievable cleanliness levels regarding particulate and, above all, chemical contamination. Are solvents better than their reputation? This question will also be answered at the FiT action area. Stable and controlled cleaning processes – application specialists will present and discuss practical solutions for typical problems in this area. The role that Artificial Reality solutions can play in the digital presentation and demonstration of functions and components, as well as their interplay inside various cleaning systems, will be shown through a digital product presentation. The advantages of an efficient workpiece carrier system for gentle transport, safe storage, and flawless cleaning will also be discussed.

FiT for the Industry

The lecture program on the second day of the trade fair provides insights into various topics of the association. For example, the DIN standards committee will present the current status of its standardization work "Component Cleaning and Cleanliness of Metallic Components in the Manufacturing Process." Projects and results, such as the new guideline "Drying and its Importance for Achieving Specified Cleanliness Requirements" and the "Guideline Framework for Process Solutions" from the FiT technical committees, will also be presented. Additionally, an open discussion forum will facilitate an exchange of experiences on the topic of sustainability in parts cleaning.

FiT2clean Award and Innovations

An highlight awaits visitors at the FiT action area on the third day of the trade fair (September 28, 2023), with the presentation of the FiT2clean Award. The prize, endowed with 10,000 euros, will be awarded for the second time this year. However, it will already be exciting before the winner is announced, as all three finalists will present their submitted innovations for current challenges in component cleaning.

Support through basic knowledge and recommendations for action, as well as cross-technology initial consulting for the diverse tasks in industrial parts cleaning, will be on the agenda of the association on all three days of the trade fair. Hall 10, Stand B02
