Rising and new requirements for surface quality are increasingly bringing knowledge and solutions for deburring and the production of precision surfaces into focus for companies. This was confirmed not only by the strong participation but also by enthusiastic attendees at the 11th Deburring Technologies and Precision Surfaces Conference, held on April 26 and 27, 2023.

When it comes to solutions for deburring and the production of precision surfaces, the conference organized by the private trade fair and congress organizer fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG has long been regarded as the information platform in the German-speaking region. This was once again demonstrated by this year's event with an accompanying exhibition. A total of 81 participants took the opportunity on April 26 and 27 to learn about current and innovative solutions as well as best-practice applications for the manufacturing steps of deburring and surface finishing. The overall rating of the conference with a score of 1.6 not only shows that the program fully met the expectations of the audience but also comments such as "Interesting topics, good speakers, the exchange and conversations during the breaks were also great" or "A very good, informative event all around with good organization and a pleasant atmosphere."

Extensive know-how on process design and optimization

In a total of 17 presentations, experts from industry, science, and research provided comprehensive knowledge on new developments, trends, and benchmark solutions. The focus was not only on deburring and producing precision surfaces with various systems and tools but also on the use of robots in surface processing, the process-safe cleaning of surfaces, and automated quality control. The question-and-answer sessions following the presentations, as well as direct dialogue with speakers and exhibitors during breaks, allowed participants to deepen topics and discuss individual challenges. This also resulted in interesting conversations and contacts for the exhibiting companies.
