Reliably prevents damage and scratching of surface-sensitive connection elements: Special tools with gentle inserts from NovoNox. Fastenings of this type are used in the product processing industry and the hygiene sector of the packaging industry.

Standard tools cause damage or marks on polished surfaces when tightening and loosening screws and nuts. There is a latent risk that aggressive cleaning agents, product residues, or other foreign substances settle into the unsightly scratches and remain hidden. With each damage to the surface, dead spaces are created where germs or bacteria can settle and multiply. Especially in the hygiene areas of the food industry, pharmaceuticals, or medicine, these germs and bacteria can lead to contamination of the system and the product.

Contact corrosion is also eliminated with the use of the special tools. The gentle inserts prevent direct contact between the stainless steel fastener and the inferior tool steel. Any possible particle abrasion of the tool steel does not adhere to the stainless steel screw site, and an electrochemical potential difference cannot be established.

The gentle inserts for the sockets are securely clamped into the socket wrench via an O-ring, and the protective sleeves for the ring and open-end wrenches are form-fittingly secured. This prevents anything from accidentally slipping out and falling to the ground.

The gentle inserts for sockets are made from a high-strength, FDA-compliant plastic. The protective sleeves for ring and open-end wrenches are made from aluminum, which meets the requirements of EN 602 – aluminum in contact with food. The gentle inserts and protective sleeves have a durability of over 1000 change cycles.

NovoNox has assembled the special tools, corresponding gentle inserts, and a variety of drive tools such as ratchets, extensions, etc., in a tool case. The gentle inserts are available individually as spare parts, together with the respective tool, or as a complete set of tools.
