International Cleanroom Spectacle at CFK Saarland

The know-how of the network "CleanRoomNet" attracted international interest.

Historically, Saarland has been an industrial region. This has led to successful settlements in the past, such as Ford in Saarlouis, ZF in Saarbrücken, as well as Michelin and Bosch in Homburg – to name just a few.

Companies from the healthcare sector have also established themselves here, with notable successes such as Fresenius in St. Wendel, Ursapharm in Saarbrücken, pfm medical in Otzenhausen, and Dr. Theiss Naturwaren in Homburg. Many of these companies have demonstrated innovative capabilities that have earned them an international reputation. The era of mining is yesterday; today, companies are successfully seeking opportunities in the national and international markets.

This transformation benefits the "CleanRoomNet" network, which includes five members from Saarland: Becker Reinraumtechnik from Saarbrücken, Klima Becker Full Service from Saarbrücken, SLKB from Saarbrücken, ReinRaumTechnik-Jochem from Neunkirchen, and the WZB Workshop Center for Disabled People of Lebenshilfe gGmbH from Spiesen.

Today, strict and clear requirements are placed on cleanroom planners and operators across all industrial sectors, especially regarding work under cleanroom conditions. The necessary expertise and many years of experience in the respective fields are essential to work and produce effectively, efficiently, and with high quality under cleanroom conditions.

CleanRoomNet has addressed these issues and offers a comprehensive full-service package around cleanrooms, from planning and construction to operation, clothing, and training and education.

On October 24, 2017, the time came. CleanRoomNet, together with Saaris Healthcare and the Saarland Foreign Trade Office, organized their first international Cleanroom Day Saarland at CFK in Spiesen. Participants had the opportunity to attend lectures and presentations on the topic of "Cleanroom Technology".

The event was aimed at all companies that need cleanrooms, work in cleanrooms, plan, develop, and build cleanrooms, or are interested in the topic.

The event was attended by participants from France, Luxembourg, Finland, Germany, and Poland, creating a vibrant mix from our EU member states.

Cleanroom technology is an important tool for quality assurance in healthcare.

It enables the production of various well-known and new products. Even for many products not directly associated with cleanroom technology, it is evident that its use leads to quantum leaps in quality.

A primary focus is on new, innovative technologies and their combination with already successful core competencies. As is well known, there is no 100% safety. Safety – as a widely accepted definition – is the absence of unacceptable risks. Accordingly, companies and organizations must identify and assess all potential risks, define the appropriate levels of acceptance, and continuously monitor them.

The CleanRoomNet aims to support its customers with its core competencies. Flexibility is key in this industry. New technologies constantly present new challenges, which the team gladly faces. Germany continues to experience steady growth through competent consulting, expertise, and open dialogue with customers.

Therefore, the correctness, honesty, and trustworthiness of partners are even more important.

Time is our most valuable resource. It must be used targeted and effectively. It is all the more painful when efforts to confirm a customer has made the right choice go unreciprocated, especially if you never hear back from the prospect after the initial inquiry and correspondence, not even a rejection. That is truly unfortunate. However, one should invest enough time.

These were considerations to put the network more prominently in the focus of its members.

Through its events, CleanRoomNet aims to demonstrate that networks are indispensable and that most benefits ultimately serve the customer.

The strong and positive feedback from participants after the "International Cleanroom Day" surprised even the organizers. The organizers included: Becker Reinraumtechnik GmbH, Dorfner GmbH & Co. KG, Klima Becker Full Service GmbH, pure11 GmbH, ReinRaumTechnik-Jochem, SLKB GmbH, StoCretec GmbH, TÜV Süd Industrie Service GmbH, and WZB Workshop Center for Disabled People of Lebenshilfe gGmbH.

Thanks to international contacts through saar.is healthcare, saar.is – saarland-international, and saar.is – saarland.innovation & Standort e. V. – Enterprise Europe Network, as well as the expertise and professionalism of the CleanRoomNet network, interest in this event was high.

The International Cleanroom Day was officially opened with a greeting from Dr. Thomas Siemer, healthcare.saarland saar.is.

The keynote speeches by network partners from CleanRoomNet on the topic "A Journey Through the Cleanroom – Different Requirements for Different Industries" were also presented by Mr. Dr. Thomas Siemer, the moderator.

During these presentations, Dr. Siemer posed critical and interesting questions to the speakers from the CleanRoomNet network. The responses provided new insights and application possibilities for the participants.

Discussion forums during the tour of the cleanroom landscape helped to relax the atmosphere noticeably. In these smaller discussion groups, a lot of know-how was exchanged among participants.

After lunch, international B2B matchmaking created highly interesting conversations for both network members and participants, further enhancing the event's value.

The subsequent get-together with drinks and Saarland "Dabber-Tapas" at the CFK Sports Bar, where conversations were deepened, gave the event the recognition it deserved.
