Insulation technology company Ilkazell completes major investment of over 4.5 million euros

The Zwickau mid-sized company Ilkazell begins the next chapter of its over 60-year history. With the new production hall, modernization of the old building stock, a new Enterprise Resource Planning system "ERP," and new production machines, the company with 100 employees is up to date with the latest in insulation technology. This allows the ongoing investments since 2008 to be officially concluded in 2013. Zwickau's Mayor Dr. Pia Findeiß will also be present at the celebration on September 19.

As one of the leading insulation technology companies in the field of modular room systems, Ilkazell Insulation Technology GmbH Zwickau has invested over 4.5 million euros since 2012 to enhance production and management capabilities. Of this, 2.7 million euros were used to purchase new machines to further develop key technologies crucial for the company's future, such as sheet metal processing or cleanroom door manufacturing, and to meet the increasing demands of national and international customers.

The new production hall built in this context offers space for expanding production in the areas of wood and plastic processing, as well as the processing of mineral building materials. Additionally, 900 m² of new production space was created in the renovated old building, where the important cleanroom door manufacturing sector can now be further optimized. The total investment for the construction measures amounted to 1.5 million euros.

Coinciding with the start of the generational change at Zwickau, a new ERP and 3D design system were also introduced to optimize processes. "This investment of over 300,000 euros is intended to further boost the company's innovative strength," explains Steffen Kehle, the new Managing Director for Development, Project Planning, Sales, and Assembly.

On September 19, numerous guests will have the opportunity to jointly inspect the investments made with Zwickau Mayor Dr. Pia Findeiß and CDU candidate for the Bundestag Carsten Körber and to get a personal impression of the company "with the Penguin."
