Insight into the virtual laboratory
World novelty: Glass enables online tours in the cleanroom / Unique project on technical cleanliness
A laboratory for Technical Cleanliness is usually strictly shielded from the outside world to prevent dirt particles from contaminating the testing process. Visits inside a cleanroom are rare, and when they do occur, only under the strictest cleanliness conditions. Now, industry leader Gläser has launched the virtual testing laboratory CleanTec-Lab on the internet.
For the first time, it is possible to view both the testing machines, which examine components for various industries for their purity, online from close up, as well as to visually follow the individual work steps. With this unique project, the internationally operating Gläser Group not only surprises its own industry sector but also the wider industry.
In many industries, production without residual dirt analysis is hardly conceivable anymore. The requirements for technically pure components are constantly increasing. Especially in the traditional automotive industry – and in the meantime also in the production of electric cars – technical cleanliness is an absolute must. Gläser's elaborate virtual platform showcases the entire spectrum of cleanroom analysis, from consulting and the construction of testing machines, through related services and analyses, to service and maintenance.
A access code is required to enter the virtual testing laboratory. An intuitive menu guides the visitor through the three-dimensional laboratory rooms. A button allows them to move to the next station.
In the personnel turnstile, the guest is first informed about the proper clothing for the cleanroom. Then they learn how a TecSa laboratory is structured and which testing machines are used for which purposes. The machines are each depicted in 3D technology and can be viewed in 360-degree mode.
In the virtual conference room, visitors can watch explanatory additional videos. In the future, online training sessions may even take place here to further deepen understanding of individual work steps.
Information is initially available in German during the virtual tour. Soon, it will also be accessible in English, Spanish, and Chinese. The Gläser Group has, besides its headquarters in Horb am Neckar, additional subsidiaries in the USA, Mexico, and China.
