Innovations in the cleanroom – This is the focus

The developments in cleanroom technology have progressed somewhat less rapidly since the "pioneer era" in the 1980s and 1990s. However, in recent years, noticeable innovations have been emerging in small steps, leading to new cleanroom equipment as well as new cleanroom systems and applications. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the focus of cleanroom technology has shifted from pure air in a room to the pure product and clean surfaces within the cleanroom. Recently, the suitability of equipment used in cleanrooms and their materials has increasingly come into focus in cleanroom technology. The industry has demanded guidelines that specify the cleanliness of surfaces in the cleanroom and the suitability of materials used, worldwide. The new and revised guidelines of VDI 2083 and ISO 14644-9 to 17 attest to this.

This is the focus of this year's SRRT-SwissCCS Conference 2020.

Part 1 of the seminar will include information from international cleanroom standardization. Experts active in the standards committees will report on updates from the ISO, CEN, and the cleanroom umbrella organization ICCCS meetings.
