Innovation Symposium with 84 presentations

At the Swiss Medtech Expo from September 10 to 11, 2019, 180 exhibitors will showcase their Medtech solutions in a practical manner. Visitors will also gain inspiration for their own projects from the 84 expert lectures in the Innovation Symposium.

A central aspect of the Swiss Medtech Expo from September 10 to 11, 2019, in Lucerne is the Innovation Symposium. For this year's trade fair, the symposium has been expanded onto two stages and is located in the middle of the exhibition hall. For René Ziswiler, this is a significant and important step: "We are placing practical knowledge transfer at the center of the Swiss Medtech Expo. Here, industry professionals in Medtech are meant to further their education," explains the trade fair director.

84 Lectures Provide Insight into Practice

The opportunities for learning are diverse. On one hand, the 180 exhibitors demonstrate concrete and illustrative solutions, showing where the industry stands today. On the other hand, renowned experts in the Innovation Symposium impart the latest specialized knowledge on twelve topics currently relevant to medical technology companies.

Over the two days of the fair, 24 keynote speakers will discuss research and industry. Additionally, visitors will benefit from 48 showcase presentations, where exhibitors share exciting backgrounds and experiences about their projects. "We want to deliver knowledge directly from practice. This way, visitors can take a lot of inspiration into their daily work," explains René Ziswiler. For the first time, very young companies will also be on stage. In 12 startup pitches, new, creative, and unique ideas will be presented.

All lectures in the Innovation Symposium are already thoroughly described on the website medtech-expo.ch and are organized by focus topics and application areas. "This allows visitors to quickly and easily find the lectures that suit them," says the trade fair director. And there is another advantage for industry professionals: all lectures in the Innovation Symposium are included in the trade fair ticket.
