In the "Valves / Seals" sector, the company was able to impress the expert jury across the board with its innovation. The novel membrane sealing (plug diaphragm) allows for a hermetic isolation of the actuator in valves while also providing more precise flow control than conventional solutions.

The steadily increasing demands for hygiene and operational safety in the pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, and the food and beverage industry have prompted the company from Hohenlohe to undertake extensive research and development work. The result is a highly durable membrane made of PTFE, which can be installed in all conceivable applications of aseptic and hygienic process systems. The new GEMÜ sealing principle has proven especially effective for control tasks, ultrapure water applications, and filling processes.

Additionally, the control valve GEMÜ 567 Biostar control with PD technology was nominated on the "Pharmatechnik" shortlist as one of five products from renowned manufacturers. The valve is particularly suitable for precise regulation of small quantities in medical technology, the pharmaceutical industry, and cosmetics. The valve types F40 and F60 for aseptic filling in the pharmaceutical and biochemical sectors, as well as in beverage filling, were also included on a shortlist. In the "Packaging and Filling Technology" category, the real-time GEMÜ F60 solution with PTFE membrane, which enables complete filling cycles in under 400ms, scored points.

In addition to the products mentioned, GEMÜ also relies on a modified version of PD technology for its iComLine product range. The valves and multi-way valve blocks made of PTFE, PVDF, PP, or PVC are successfully used in systems with high-purity processes, as well as in chemical handling and the dosing of aggressive media.
