In many areas of working life, wearing mouth-nose masks makes a significant contribution to protecting employees from infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Against this background, Freudenberg Filtration Technologies has developed a high-quality mask that is now also approved as a medical face mask TYPE II (EN 14683). It combines effective health protection with first-class wearing comfort. The filtration specialist has undergone all necessary certifications within a few weeks. Companies can obtain large quantities from mid-October.

"The core of our medical face masks is a soft three-layer polypropylene filter medium, which is characterized by its special breathability," explains Dr. Thomas Caesar, Director Global Filter Engineering Industrial Filtration. For effective protection of contact persons, the special construction of the three layers reduces the release of virus- and bacteria-laden aerosols. External laboratory tests confirm a filter efficiency of more than 98 percent in aerosol separation.

The soft nonwoven fabric also offers optimal wearing comfort and allows for easy breathing. The independent dermatological institute Dermatest has rated skin compatibility as "very good." Elastic ear loops and a nose clip make the mouth-nose protection from Freudenberg Filtration Technologies individually adjustable and ensure a comfortable fit. This overall package "Made in Germany" makes the masks a pleasant companion in everyday work.

Important for the painting industry: The medical face masks comply with the standard 24364 (Test Class B) of the German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) LABS. This means: Employees can wear them in industrial painting environments without concern, as they do not cause contamination with paint-related substances (LABS).

Freudenberg Filtration Technologies supplies its certified face mask exclusively to companies with a minimum order quantity of 7,500 pieces. In household quantities, Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions will also sell the medical face masks under the name Collectex to end consumers and companies from mid-October.
