Increase in visitors at Cleanzone: With 731 trade visitors, approximately 20 percent more than last year
Significantly increased internationality: Nearly one in three visitors from abroad - demand for Cleanzone Congress remains high
The Cleanzone closed on October 28, 2015, with an increase in visitors of around 20 percent. A total of 731 trade visitors from 32 countries attended (2014: 604 trade visitors from 30 countries). They gathered information at the international trade fair with accompanying congress for cleanroom technology at the booths of 88 exhibitors from 12 countries. Iris Jeglitza-Moshage, member of the management of Messe Frankfurt, commented: "We are more than satisfied. The Cleanzone records double-digit growth in all parameters – exhibitors, area, visitors, and internationality. As a result, Cleanzone has established itself as an international and interdisciplinary platform for the exchange of information on cleanroom technologies in research, industry, and application at the Frankfurt location."
This assessment is supported by Frank Duvernell, Managing Director of ReinraumAkademie Leipzig and partner of Cleanzone: "I am firmly convinced that Cleanzone will continue to grow. Because this is where the industry meets. The event has once again shown that production and manufacturing in cleanrooms is an international future-oriented topic that spans across all industries."
The exhibitors were very satisfied with the quality and internationality of the trade visitors. Besides Germany, the most important visitor countries included Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands, Turkey, Belgium, Ireland, China, and the USA. Visitors to Cleanzone came from all industries that produce in cleanrooms or sterile rooms, such as automotive and semiconductor industries, aerospace and aviation, laser and optics, surface technology, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
Wolfgang Wenus, Manufacturing Manager at Roche Diagnostics, who was primarily looking for innovative solutions for cleanroom cleaning, says: "The importance of cleanroom cleaning is very high for Roche Diagnostics, as 90 percent of our products are manufactured in cleanrooms. Key players here at Cleanzone include profi-con and other companies. We are also interested in what foreign countries have to offer and whether these products harmonize with our regulations. Frankfurt is an ideal central location for an international cleanroom trade fair."
Sascha Mattern, Clean Room Support at BOSCH Semiconductor Plant Reutlingen, focused on detailed information about new measurement methods and analysis procedures for detecting molecular contamination in cleanrooms: "The exchange with manufacturers at the fair and the workshop conducted on this topic the day before were very helpful and provided orientation. I received new interesting suggestions and solutions and was able to expand my network. Events like Cleanzone are essential for the exchange between research, manufacturing, and application."
A focus of Cleanzone in the congress and on the trade fair was the product area construction and planning. For the first time, the association Interessengemeinschaft Pharmabau VIP3000 presented itself with fifteen companies at the trade fair. Also new as an exhibitor at Cleanzone was the Finnish manufacturer of cleanroom doors Muovilami Oy. Hans Naupert, Export Manager Western Europe, explains: "After the first day of the fair, we can already see that our expectations regarding interest in our products have been exceeded. On Tuesday, we already had a number of highly interesting discussions with representatives from many different countries. Some of these new contacts will soon lead to new business. Overall, I am personally surprised by the internationality. The overall impression after the first day is very positive."
Over 100 participants attended the Cleanzone Congress to learn about planning/layout/construction, qualification, and process optimization. Topics such as "Location security in regional competition," "Interdisciplinary networking of technologies," and "Talent development" were discussed at the Cleanzone Plaza. There, the Cleanroom Award was also presented for the fourth time by ReinraumAkademie Leipzig. The €3,000 prize was awarded to InfraSolution for RobotScanFlex, an automated filter integrity test.
The next Cleanzone will take place on November 8 and 9, 2016, in Frankfurt am Main.
