ILMAC lounges are to set new accents

Also at MCH Messe Switzerland (Basel) AG, they are now focusing on the lounge concept with its mixture of trade fair and lecture event. Starting in 2014, the ILMAC lounges will be offered as a supplement to the industrial fair ILMAC, which takes place every three years, with events in the intervening years. This was announced by MCH Messe Switzerland and inspire GmbH, which has been offering the lounges as an industry-spanning platform in Karlsruhe (from 2014 in Stuttgart) for several years.

From September 23 to 25, 2014, it will be the first time in the Basel exhibition halls that "Meet the Community" welcomes professionals from the fields of Pharma, Food, Biotech, Laboratory, and Cleanroom.

Exhibitors can present themselves on multi-vision walls and bring their topics closer to visitors through technical lectures. "The focus," according to the concept, "is clearly on communication." The organizers plan around 100 lectures for the three-day lounges.

For registered visitors invited by the exhibiting companies, entry, food, and drinks are free.

The new concept was particularly well received at the presentation at ILMAC 2013 by those exhibitors and visitors who are already familiar with the Karlsruhe lounges. However, the question repeatedly arose whether the industry would adopt further large-scale events, especially since the lounges in Stuttgart in 2014 are scheduled only a little over three months before the Basel event.
