igus successfully relies on in-house research and is rewarded with top marks for it. Now, the system E6.1 has brilliantly passed the cleanroom quality test of Fraunhofer IPA. Furthermore, other systems from the world's leading provider of energy chains also received the coveted cleanroom certification.

For over 15 years, the company has been a pioneer in power supply solutions for cleanrooms and offers a broad IPA-tested range of e-chains that enable machine-specific and easy assembly of power supply in cleanrooms. As quality requirements in cleanroom technology continuously increase from both customer and testing standards, igus works steadily on improving its products. With the new system E6.1, users of the proven E6 system can now access an even more optimized version, which has passed the internationally recognized cleanroom standard DIN EN ISO 14644-1 at first attempt and qualifies for ISO Class 1. The low-wear connector principle of E6.1 is ideally suited for the needs of cleanrooms and can be used universally. Compared to E6, it is also lighter to handle and assemble due to weight reduction. igus has also further improved the system in terms of noise level.

Quality seal also for other e-chains and chainflex cables
The high IPA standard was not only awarded to the E6.1 system but also to other products for power supply in cleanrooms, such as the E2/000 system, which in its standard version received the classification ISO Class 2. The robust, two-part system in its fourth generation stands for maximum stability with minimal wear. Additionally, the T3 cable carrier system also has good prerequisites for use in cleanroom applications and was classified as ISO Class 2. The innovative design of interlocking side panels ensures almost complete wear-free operation. T3 is therefore suitable for highly dynamic applications and can be used in various cleanroom settings.

The optimal performance of the energy chains is achieved when used together with igus chainflex cables. Of the 1,030 cables available from stock, 95 percent are made from jacket materials certified to ISO Class 1 or 2. This now also includes the PUR control cables of series CF77.UL/ CF78.UL, data cables of the CF series 211 and 240, as well as bus cables CFBUS.PVC and CFBUS.PUR. By combining a cleanroom-certified e-chain and cable, the customer gains planning security and benefits from the coordinated interaction of the components in the cleanroom. This simplifies and speeds up installation, increases lifespan, and thus reduces costs.
