At least the third part can be easily achieved with the hygiene keyboard IC Keys with the IP protection class 64. The manufacturer IC Medical from the Stuttgart metropolitan area introduced IC Keys to the market five years ago. Since then, it has been used in medical practices as well as in research, development, and highly specialized industrial manufacturing.

Your fully smooth hygienic surface is dust- and water-proof, significantly reducing airborne particle contamination. Thanks to the integrated trackpad mode, it can be operated capacitively with varying tactile feedback. It also works wirelessly via radio or Bluetooth within a range of six meters. Regarding temperature, employees in demanding work environments can also use the IC Keys: this is possible at temperatures from five to 35 degrees Celsius without any restrictions on functionality.

The size of the hygienic keyboard, approximately 44 by 16 centimeters, creates the prerequisite for comfort: for this, the developers designed an appealing look with an easy-to-use key layout and a spacious numeric keypad. Its surface is sealed and resistant to wear. This allows anyone to clean it easily and quickly with all common cleaning and disinfecting agents.

Diverse customer spectrum

"Users of our IC Keys are found in universities and among manufacturers of demanding pharmaceutical or medical technology products, for example for nuclear medicine. The agricultural industry and power plant facilities also play a role," describes Andreas Grau, who is responsible for the national distribution, the diverse customer spectrum. In the practices of established doctors and dentists, the primary target group of IC Medical, capacitive technology was still a somewhat unfamiliar element a few years ago. However, the hygiene advantages have led to an increasing popularity of the IC Keys.
