Furniture items on cleanroom and panel walls and attaching without drilling? Yes, that's possible – with the Hygienic Design Magnet! The small magnetic helper is quickly installed, can be removed just as easily, and leaves no traces or damage.

In cleanrooms, any damage can have fatal consequences and should therefore be avoided as much as possible. However, to attach wall-mounted items such as dispensers, holes had to be drilled for screwing or adhesive solutions were used, which are not designed for long-term use.

This problem was addressed by Friedrich Sailer GmbH – inspired by a customer request – and the Hygienic Design Magnet was developed. This was presented as a product innovation for the first time at Cleanzone 2019 in Frankfurt and was able to impress not only industry professionals but also the jury, which awarded the product the Cleanzone Award 2019.

The Hygienic Design Magnet features an internal magnetic system that achieves a load capacity of approximately 10 kg. For holding heavier weights, multiple magnets can be combined – the load capacity increases accordingly. In the center, there is an M6 internal thread that replaces the wall mounting typically achieved by drilling. The housing is made of stainless steel 1.4301 and has an exceptionally low surface roughness of Ra < 0.8 to ensure easy cleaning and disinfection. The wall-side sealing cap, made of FDA-compliant silicone, ensures a seal of the mounting surface through the clamping forces between the magnet and the wall. It has a beveled edge with a large open angle, which facilitates easy cleaning of the magnet's outer contour. Additionally, the silicone surface reliably protects the wall's surface coating from damage and scratches during installation and removal.
