Hygienic ball valves made of stainless steel

With the easily flushable stainless steel ball valves in combination with the FREELINE, Eisele now offers a completely dead-space-free hose connection system with shut-off valve.

Connections and shut-off valves for compressed air, gases, and liquids in the food industry must be easy to flush and clean. Eisele demonstrates what an optimal solution for these requirements looks like, which is robust and simply constructed.

Eisele now offers hygienic ball valves made of stainless steel. The long-established ball valves were originally developed for use in paint spray booths and are therefore completely dead-space free, easy to flush, and thus ideally suited for hygienic applications in the food industry. The ball itself is permanently encased and sealed by two PTFE half-shells, and the interior surfaces of the ball valve and the ball seats are designed to be dead-space free and finely finished to minimize roughness. The stainless steel ball valves have a 1/4-inch thread on both sides. This provides a dead-space free interface to the hose connections of the Eisele FREELINE or can be directly mounted on installations and pipelines. The combination of ball valve and FREELINE unites the best of two worlds into a completely dead-space free modular system.

All media-bearing components are made of stainless steel in the FREELINE system. This includes the dead-space free hose fittings from the Eisele program 1600 and the seamless comfort fittings from program 3800. They are suitable for connecting hoses made of PTFE, PA, and FEP as well as for dead-space free connection of stainless steel pipes. The combination of ball valve and FREELINE fittings can be used for compressed air, vacuum, gases, and liquids in hygiene-sensitive applications or sterile environments. Due to the design, no product residues can adhere. Thanks to the unique, mature retention technology of the FREELINE, the connections reliably seal up to 25 bar and 80 °C.

The hygienically designed stainless steel ball valves are exclusively offered by Eisele to its American distributor Hosco Fittings LLC in Europe. In return, Hosco distributes the dead-space free FREELINE connections from the Waiblingen company in the USA.
