This training prepares you optimally to work as a Hygiene Officer in the pharmaceutical industry. After your training, you will be an internal service provider who acts as a multiplier and advisor on hygiene-related topics in production facilities. In the pharmaceutical industry, Hygiene Officers are responsible for monitoring the hygiene status under cleanroom conditions and ensuring that all hygiene regulations and SOPs for production hygiene are adhered to in your operation. You serve as a communication partner and interface for employees of hygiene-responsible teams and are a significant part of the quality assurance system.

An important part of your work is participating in the development of the area-specific hygiene plan and instructing colleagues on hygienic behavior. You plan and conduct training on operational hygiene and accompany certification audits.

Other tasks of a Hygiene Officer in a pharmaceutical operation include, for example, implementing GMP guidelines and requirements operationally and participating in CAPA procedures. Hygiene Officers in the pharmaceutical industry are employed by suppliers as well as in bulk production up to areas of sterile filling of medicines.
