Artificial intelligence opens up enormous potential for the manufacturing industry. However, the industrial mid-sized companies often lack the know-how for implementation. Start-ups can prove to be important strategic partners in this regard. The webinar series "Start-up your AI – How start-ups are changing the industry with artificial intelligence" shows the different forms this collaboration can take, starting February 9th.

Investing in artificial intelligence (AI) is expensive. It often takes years until the necessary IT infrastructure is in place and everything is carefully interconnected. The greater the disappointment when the painstakingly collected and analyzed data does not provide the desired insights into why a machine failed or produced rejects. Michael Welsch, co-founder and managing director of the Hamburg-based start-up PANDA GmbH, has tailored his business model precisely to this problem. His promise: "We bring your project to completion in a maximum of one month."

From February 9th, representatives from both sides will report on the different forms of collaboration between established industrial companies and start-ups, the challenges they jointly overcome, and the successes they celebrate in the technical implementation of AI projects during the webinar series "Start-up your AI – How start-ups are changing the industry with artificial intelligence," organized by Fraunhofer IPA.

In addition to Welsch from PANDA GmbH, numerous other representatives from technology start-ups will be on the list of speakers at this networking event. Together with their project partners from industry, they will present AI implementation projects weekly from 4 p.m. onward:

09.02.2021 – "Value stream analysis at the push of a button using intelligent assistance systems" with Mauritius Geiger, Managing Director of FLUMINA GmbH

16.02.2021 – "Digital products with quick ROI – challenges and potentials, focus: digital business models" with Thomas Freudenmann, Co-CEO/Co-Founder of Edi GmbH

23.02.2021 – "Quality enhancement of rail traffic through intelligent, data-based defect pattern recognition in rail vehicles" with Georg Wittenburg, Co-Founder/CEO of Inspirent GmbH

02.03.2021 – "Practical application of AI in manufacturing using the example of plant manufacturer Kroenert" with Michael Welsch, Managing Director of PANDA GmbH

09.03.2021 – "Automated production planning with self-learning systems" with Felix Müller, Co-Founder of Plus10 GmbH

30.03.2021 – "Automated planning and analysis of sustainable construction projects" with Lucas Spreiter, Managing Director of Unetiq GmbH
