Hovmand presents its mobile lifting devices for the first time at ACHEMA

The production of chemical and pharmaceutical products is subject to the highest hygiene and safety standards. Many of the substances used are hazardous or even explosive. Handling such hazardous materials also often exposes employees to high physical strain. A solution for this is provided by Hovmand's mobile lifting devices: With the flexibly designed stainless steel equipment, raw materials and materials can be handled safely, hygienically, and ergonomically at the same time. The market leader for mobile lifting equipment is exhibiting for the first time this year at ACHEMA in Frankfurt am Main (Hall 3, Stand A70).

At the world’s leading trade fair for the process industry, Hovmand will showcase solutions from August 22 to 26 for handling materials, hazardous goods, and raw materials throughout the manufacturing process, including packaging and storage. The mobile and flexibly designed handling devices from the Danish manufacturer ensure that ergonomics, hygiene, and safety go hand in hand. In the manufacturing process, employees often have to transport, lift, and fill heavy drums, canisters, buckets, and sacks manually. Such tasks, performed manually, strain the spine through awkward twists, reduce efficiency, and also compromise safety. With Hovmand's lifting devices, such containers and materials up to 300 kilograms can be easily transported, tipped, emptied, and refilled with just one device, up to a height of 2.30 meters.

Transport of Euro boxes and loading of packaging machines

The transport of Euro boxes or other stacking containers can also be easily and ergonomically performed by just one person using Hovmand's lifting devices. This additionally speeds up processes. Manually loading packaging machines with stretch and packaging films in the packaging process is also physically demanding for employees. Improper handling can also endanger the delicate and expensive material. Hovmand offers a suitable solution with its manipulators for packaging rolls. Film rolls can be easily brought to the appropriate height and position for insertion into the machine. This also makes film changeovers faster and less frequent, as larger rolls can be used.

Protection class IP66, upgradeable to ATEX

All Hovmand devices are manufactured according to GMP standards and are available in stainless steel variants. This ensures they meet the high requirements for hygiene and cleaning in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. As the only provider of mobile lifting devices, Hovmand also offers devices with protection class IP66. The equipment with ESD castors additionally prevents electrostatic charges. For special explosion-prone environments (ATEX zones), for example when processing flammable materials, Hovmand can upgrade its solutions to ATEX.
