The Danish company Hovmand now offers online consulting for its mobile industrial lifting solutions. In a live video conference, interested parties can work together with Hovmand experts to configure individually suitable ergonomic lever solutions. This is made possible by combining secure online meeting software with Hovmand's Virtual Engineering App.

The consulting process for acquiring a lever solution is now also becoming more efficient: the Danish company, with its sales office in Munich, now offers online consulting. “Following the development of our Virtual Engineering App, the introduction of online consulting is the next important step in our digital transformation,” says Managing Director Søren Hovmand. “Any number of team members or decision-makers can participate regardless of their location — even from home office. This leads to more efficient workflows and also saves CO2.”

Personal consultation without physical presence

During the video conference, Hovmand specialists not only advise on ergonomics at the workplace but also configure the suitable lever solution together with the meeting participants. This is assembled from over 100,000 configuration options depending on individual lifting requirements — modularly and live in 3D. Interested parties can see the different variants directly and ask questions if needed. “This allows us to offer our customers personal consultation without direct contact,” explains Søren Hovmand. “This not only significantly reduces the effort for all involved but also minimizes health risks in times when reduced contact frequency is essential.”

Interested parties can inform Hovmand of their preferred date online. No software installation is necessary on the customer's side; the only requirement is a stable internet connection. Hovmand is a pioneer in digitalization within its industry and was awarded first place in 2019 by the Danish Ministry of Business for the “Digitalization of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” competition.
