PROMESS Gesellschaft für Montage- und Prüfsysteme mbH presents at this year's Medtech in Stuttgart (Hall 5, Stand 5A42) a selection of its highly precise servo presses, including a newly developed cleanroom press.

Medical technology is among the fastest-growing and most innovative future industries worldwide. Longer life expectancy and increasing demands on medical care require ever-new procedures and products. PROMESS has many years of experience in the field of medical technology. The universal assembly modules of the Precision series are used, for example, in the manufacture of pacemakers, where they are employed for quality-controlled crimping of electrode contacts or the assembly of titanium housings. Due to their extensive monitoring capabilities, these units are also frequently used for various testing tasks, such as functional testing of syringes or inhalers. The force-displacement recording of the joining process is performed in real-time in the power amplifier and monitored using hull curves and/or window technology. This ensures that each individual part has been produced according to the required standards. Depending on the need, the process data can be stored in a database, statistically analyzed, and printed out at the end.

PROMESS offers highly precise servo presses with a force range from 0.05 to 3 kN. The user benefits from the control intelligence, which, combined with precision mechanics and high-resolution sensors, allows results in the micrometer range. The units are available as modules for integration into existing systems or as the precision workstation UFM-C-Compact. This highly precise individual workstation is suitable for the accurate joining and crimping of individual parts and assemblies and features integrated quality control. It is delivered as a ready-to-operate system and can be set up in the shortest possible time due to its plug & play principle. Additionally, specially sealed units are available for applications in cleanrooms.
