Highest measurement performance in miniature format: Endress+Hauser wins the Best of Industry Award in the "Process Instrumentation" category
With the Micropilot FMR43, part of the new compact product line for precise pressure, fill, and limit level measurements in hygienic applications, Endress+Hauser wins the 2024 Best of Industry Award from Vogel Communications Group in the "Process Instrumentation" category. At the ceremonial award ceremony in Würzburg on January 16, 2025, the innovative radar measuring device, specifically developed for the requirements of the food industry and life sciences, was awarded first place for its precise measurement performance and its compact, hygienic design.
The new compact product line impresses with exceptional measurement performance. In addition to the proven 80 GHz technology, the Micropilot FMR43 features a 180 GHz variant, enabling precise measurements even in the smallest containers and covering measurement ranges up to 15 meters. "This allows us, for example, to reliably measure the fill level in reactor vessels of the pharmaceutical industry or in narrow tanks of food production, even when the containers are difficult to access," says Marco Suevo, Product Manager Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure.
A key advantage of the Micropilot FMR43 is its compact design. "Our customers especially appreciate the size of the device, which is only as big as a smartphone," says Suevo. This feature facilitates integration into systems with limited space. At the same time, the compact design offers high flexibility and enables seamless scaling from laboratory development to mass production. The outstanding performance of the product line is also demonstrated by the increased measurement speed of the radar fill level measurement device. This ensures the highest accuracy, even in challenging applications such as media with turbulent surfaces.
An additional central feature of the Micropilot FMR43 is the integrated Heartbeat Technology, which enables continuous monitoring of device performance, provides diagnostic data, verifies performance, and monitors all process data for strategies in predictive maintenance and process optimization. "With these features, the Micropilot FMR43 has established itself not only in theory but also in practice as a reliable tool," says Suenvo. "It is especially gratifying that this has now been recognized by the jury and voters of the Best of Industry Award."
