"Simple is clever." Following this maxim, Interstuhl, together with designer Sven von Boetticher/ID AID, developed the laboratory task chair Labsit. "Functionality, clarity of form, material appropriateness, and innovation were the guiding ideas for Labsit," says Sven von Boetticher. And these factors are also what recently earned the chair two important design awards: the International Design Prize Baden-Württemberg "Focus Open 2017 in Gold" and the "German Design Award 2018, Winner" from the German Design Council, Design Council.

"The coherent overall concept of Labsit proves that office chairs can be aesthetic and combine the high demands of the work environment with comfort," judged the Focus Open jury, thereby acknowledging the excellent design quality of Labsit and Interstuhl's innovative product development on an international level. At the German Design Award, it is said: those who can stand out against highly competitive contenders have proven they are among the best. So, twice over: Congratulations, Labsit!

What is successful design? A question that probably has no definitive answer: tastes and individual preferences are too diverse. However, it is undisputed that excellent design quality at the workplace offers many advantages. A prime example of this is the Labsit laboratory chair by Bimos.
