The helsa® Group International announced today the completion of the acquisition of helsa® Functional Coating by the MANN+HUMMEL Group. The business division of the helsa® Group complements MANN+HUMMEL's portfolio, especially in molecular filtration and elastomer manufacturing for industrial special applications.

The sale of the helsa® filter division is aimed at securing the growth and future of the core Fashion Shaping division of the internationally active family-owned company helsa®. The sale enables the strengthening of the Fashion Shaping division in the global clothing accessories market and the expansion of its position as a world market leader for shoulder pad products. Ms. Monika Sandler, as the sole shareholder of the helsa® Group, is pleased to be able to pass the business division of Functional Coating into the hands of a family-owned company with a long-term perspective. The Gefrees location remains secured with the acquisition for the time being.
