The Dr. Hönle AG, based in Gilching near Munich, has increased its stake in the French subsidiary STERIXENE to 51%. This follows Hönle's strategy to further expand its product offerings in the Disinfection Business Unit and to provide customers who need to disinfect surfaces or packaging, water, or air with comprehensive system solutions. With the customer at the center, competencies and resources within the group are combined to drive innovation.

The product portfolio of the Hönle Disinfection Business Unit ranges from low-pressure to medium-pressure and LED-UV lamps. STERIXENE complements this with Xenon pulse lamps, enabling all disinfection tasks to be reliably, efficiently, and sustainably solved with Hönle systems. Additionally, STERIXENE offers patented bioindicators. In the in-house laboratory in France, microbiological analyses can be conducted to verify the disinfection performance after UVC irradiation. This provides the customer with a comprehensive solution for their process and allows them to verify at any time that it is functioning safely. Application areas include manufacturing and filling processes worldwide in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries, which are subject to strict hygiene regulations.
