Initial Cleanrooms Europe has expanded its network of locations with another high-tech facility: after just ten months of construction, the grand opening of the new high-tech laundry took place on Friday, September 15, in Radeburg near Dresden. This makes the European market and technology leader for textile cleanroom solutions in rental service now also present in the "German Silicon Valley" and able to offer its local customers the best service according to the Initial Gold Standard.

"Gold-Standard Partner" was the motto of the grand opening of the new high-tech laundry by Initial Cleanrooms Europe on September 15 in Radeburg near Dresden. The slogan refers to the company's own Gold Standard for processes and service, which guarantees customers equally high quality across all European cleanroom laundry locations and goes far beyond legally required guidelines and regulations. "We are very pleased to now be represented at such an important technology hub with a state-of-the-art cleanroom laundry," said Nicola Cassanelli, General Manager of Initial Cleanrooms Europe, during his speech at the celebration.

The new cleanroom laundry was built on a site of approximately 9,000 square meters, tailored entirely to Initial's requirements. Initial Cleanrooms invested several million euros in the 2,200-square-meter facility; numerous new jobs have been created. During the opening event, invited guests were able to see the high-quality standards firsthand through an exclusive tour of the new high-tech cleanroom laundry. Equipment with the latest technology for decontamination, drying, and steam sterilization of cleanroom clothing forms the core of the production area. Special attention was paid by Initial to the ecological balance of its new facility. To reduce energy and water consumption, the company relies on state-of-the-art technology such as heat and water recovery systems.

Initial Cleanrooms carefully selected the location near Dresden. "Our close-to-customer strategy is of the highest priority. Short distances and thus quick response times are especially important. We always build our Smart Cleanrooms (high-tech cleanroom laundries) close to customers according to the Gold Standard to ensure the operational capability of our clients in sensitive business areas. Dresden is a perfect location for us because many companies with sensitive sectors are based here, including several of our key customers in the pharmaceutical sector," explains Nicola Cassanelli, General Manager of Initial Cleanrooms Europe. The Dresden region is known as the "German Silicon Valley" and is home primarily to the semiconductor industry. In this industry, as well as in many others such as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, there is a high demand for high-quality decontamination services for cleanroom clothing, with strict requirements for functionality and availability.

Since the merger with CWS-boco in July 2017, the joint venture has a total of eight cleanroom laundry facilities at five European locations (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and Poland). This merger allows customers to benefit even more from the proven contingency concept of the company. This guarantees maximum performance and supply security for Initial. If one plant experiences capacity issues due to unforeseen events, the other locations will take over its orders, ensuring that customers' workflows are not jeopardized.
