Glove testing device

Since this component of the isolator wall is subjected to particularly high stresses on one side due to various mechanical movements of the operator such as walking, friction, and shear movements, and on the other side is usually designed to be particularly thin and sensitive, there is a particularly high risk of breaching the containment barrier against the environment."

There are various testing procedures to detect leaks in gloves; however, unlike the often used bubble test, the conductivity test, and the oxygen test, the pressure decay test used here tests the entire glove system.

Due to ergonomic design and the lightweight of the device, it is possible to test the gloves directly on-site in their installed state.

In the pressure decay test, the sealed glove system is pressurized with a predetermined test pressure. If there are leaks or defects in the glove, the pressure drops because air can escape to the outside. The pressure decay is measured within a defined period, and then it is assessed whether there are leaks or if the glove can be classified as airtight.
