The internationally active flooring specialist Gerflor now offers its cleanroom solution "MIPOLAM BIOCONTROL" in 24 colors and new designs.

The color palette, which brings visual freshness to the cleanroom, ranges from mix beige through indigo and paprika to saffron. Regardless of the shade, MIPOLAM BIOCONTROL provides safety for all cleanrooms up to and including Class A. The flooring, available in strips and tiles, is designed for the highest demands and, thanks to a high-performance surface coating, is resistant to chemicals and decontamination procedures. Due to its low micro-roughness, it is very easy to clean (cleaning class 100). The high compaction of the surface also guarantees low particle emissions (cleanroom class ISO4) and is resistant to microorganisms. MIPOLAM BIOCONTROL has been thoroughly evaluated by the Fraunhofer Institute and tested and certified for compliance with standards and the requirements of contamination monitoring environments (see further info for details).

Seamless corners

Gerflor also offers proven solutions for flooring installation and leak testing. The "Gerflor Corner System" allows for the installation of flooring pieces cut to a specific geometric shape without seams, both in interior and exterior corners. These corners can then be easily cleaned without decontamination. The floor is not only tight and durable in all areas but also uniform and visually appealing.

Testing with an electric arc

The Gerflor-specific installation technique enables testing the quality of the thermal welding of MIPOLAM BIOCONTROL as well as the integrity of the entire floor. The testing system detects leaks using an electric arc and an acoustic warning signal. This testing method is suitable not only for new floor installations but also for regular inspections. Any damage or leaks can be immediately repaired without disrupting production.
