GEMÜ recognized as world market leader for the fourth consecutive time

For the fourth consecutive time, WirtschaftsWoche awards the owner-managed technology company GEMÜ Gebrüder Müller Apparatebau GmbH & Co. KG the WirtschaftsWoche Quality Seal "Global Market Leader – Champion 2020". This recognizes GEMÜ's inclusion in the Global Market Leader Index in the segment "Valves and Automation Components: Valve, Process, and Control Technology for Sterile Processes".

The Global Market Leader Index is compiled under the scientific guidance of Prof. Dr. Christoph Müller from the HBM Entrepreneurship School at the University of St. Gallen, in cooperation with the German Academy of Global Market Leaders (ADWM). Objective selection criteria and transparent processes are established to determine the actual global market leaders, the collected information is scientifically evaluated, and the results are published in condensed form.

Scientists refer to companies as "Global Market Leader Champions" that rank first or second in their relevant market segment, are represented on at least three continents with their own production and/or sales subsidiaries, generate an annual turnover of at least 50 million euros, and can demonstrate an export share or foreign share of at least 50 percent of their turnover. Another important criterion for receiving the "Global Market Leader Champion" award is owner-led management based in the DACH region.

As an owner-managed family business headquartered in Ingelfingen-Criesbach (Baden-Württemberg), with 27 subsidiaries and six production sites in Germany, Switzerland, China, Brazil, France, and the USA, GEMÜ meets these conditions. In addition to these prerequisites, it is primarily the leading technology and market leadership in the field of valve, process, and control technology for sterile processes that were decisive for WirtschaftsWoche to award the distinction and the WirtschaftsWoche Quality Seal "Global Market Leader – Champion 2020" to GEMÜ.
